Indoff is a multi-divisional company that develops business solutions for virtually any industry. Indoff was founded in 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been helping clients across the North America with their needs in material handling, commercial interiors, business and promotional products, energy, and much more for over 50 years. They utilize a combination of industry expertise and extensive relationships with leading manufacturers to ensure that they can nearly always resolve their clients issues. Whether the task is adding storage space to a warehouse, renovating an office space, keeping an office stocked with supplies, or creating eye-catching swag for a sales meeting, Indoff gets the job done.

In March 2022, Indoff identified significant shortcomings in their SEO performance that were hampering their ability to achieve their goals. They reached out to SDC for helping in improving their online visibility.

Challenges

 

Despite a polished website and a solid customer base and brand reputation, Indoff was lacking an effective digital marketing strategy. Using their old approach, they were unable to create a significant presence online. They had few impressions on Google and the impressions they did have were branded keywords rather than keywords related to their services and divisions. Their website did not rank well and they had very little backlinks or referring domains in place to engage potential customers or drive traffic to their site.

Indoff came to Solutions Digital Consulting looking for a digital marketing strategy that would improve their visibility on Google, boost search rankings for non-branded keywords, and support their overall business goals.

Solution

The team at SDC got to work getting to know Indoff and assessing their specific business needs and goals. A customized digital marketing plan was rolled out that included the following:

 

  • New and revamped content pages on Indoff’s website for better indexing.
  • An off-site SEO strategy to build relevant, high-quality backlinks to the Indoff website.
  • Quality content filled with service-specific, non-branded keywords relevant to each of Indoff’s divisions to achieve better search engine results page (SERP) positioning.
  • A consistent content calendar designed to maintain a steady flow of information and backlinks to engage visitors and sustain online visibility.

Results

Since starting their new SEO program with Solutions Digital Consulting, Indoff has seen significant improvements in website impressions, organic search traffic, and keyword rankings for non-branded keywords.

Year over year:

  • Impressions are up 58%
  • Clicks are up 15%
  • Average Keyword Position is down 19% (lower is better)

In addition, individual division-centric keywords have seen the following improvements:

  • “commercial interior supplier” moved from position 67 → 3
  • “administrative office equipment” moved from position 42 → 17
  • “material handling services” moved from being UNRANKED → 17
